In the Land of Snow: Buddhist Art of the HimalayasFor those of us in the North American area, specifically Los Angeles, the new exhition at the Norton Simon museum is definitely worth checking out. We will be reporting back but it seems like the exhibition will explore many facets of Himalayan Buddhist art, including sculptures and thangkas (flat paintings). We've never been to this gallery space before which is in the Pasadena area (where the Rose Bowl is, sight of the monthly Rose Bowl flea market which is humungous and definitely worth a visit). The Buddhist Art exhibition runs to August 25th so there's a few months to go if you are in the Los Angeles area. We're a fan of Buddhist art, particularly bronze Buddhist statues and you can view our range by clicking here.
