Just a quick note to remind you our Hertfordshire antiques showroom will be shut for Bank Holiday Monday May 30th. Also known as Memorial Day in the United States. Our website will of course be open throughout, indeed it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
This Monday is officially called Spring Bank Holiday and Spring has officiall sprung in the UK, what with all the warm weather we've been having. By all accounts, we're set for a hot summer. Just don't mention climate change.
As the weather improves, why not make a date to view the Canonbury Hertfordshire antiques showroom in leafy Herts. We're only 25 minutes north of London and it can make for a nice day out. There are lovely walks and pubs and the historic town of St Albans is just ten minutes down the road with Roman ruins, a cathedral and excellent shopping and dining.
We have been in business for over fifty years now, starting in North London with shops on the way in Islington, Westbourne Grove (Notting Hill Gate) and Church Street NW8. Then as the business changed - well moved mainly online - we decided to move to a larger premises in Hertfordshire close to where we live and, of course, without the London prices we could have more room. All the more space to fill it with goodies!
We specialise in classic English dining furniture, alongside art deco, desks, continental antiques, architectural antiques, porcelain, bronzes and interiors.
