Does dining get any better than this?
The Regency design aesthetic is refined and stylish, frequently taking its cues from classical antiquity. Often the looks is clean and minimal, thus making it a great look for contemporary interiors and the taste for simplicty and lightness. This is particularly true when it comes to Regency dining tables. Many of these pieces are on display in the Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom so please get in touch for an appointment.
Regency dining tables typically work on the pedestal system so you can add - or take away - the extra leaves to suit your dining purposes. For example, leave all the leafs in for large dining and dinner parties or take them out for everyday space saving use. Regency tables are often thinner and lighter than their Victorian cousins and again often look better in modern spaces. They also commonly sit on splayed feet often on castors so the bases are easy to move around.
1. 16 foot Walnut Regency Dining Table
This Regency dining table seats 18 people when fully extended. Naturally we have various dining chairs to match so let us know if you are in the market for hosting large dinner parties. Also makes for a great conference table. Need to go bigger? Let us know, we can custom make you a table to any size required.
2. Walnut Extending Regency Dining Table
Classic look with the George Bullock style bases. Great patina to the walnut and this table extends to 14 feet. This particular table looks superb with a matching set of walnut Queen Anne dining chairs.
3. Mahogany Regency Pedestal Dining Table
When you mention Regency dining table this is what will come to mind. Thin table top on the splayed feet pedestal bases. Sumptuous patina to the mahogany offset by the satinwood trim to the table top. Again, various matching mahogany dining chairs available. When it's all set up please invite me round for a dinner party - as long as there are vegetarian options available.
4. Large Regency Dining Table Flame Mahogany
Similar to above but with an extra special flame mahogany finish to the wood. Regal and sumptuous, offset by satinwood trim.
5. Regency Dining Table Mahogany Triple Pedestal Manner George Bullock
Not sure why this table comes in at number five pop pickers but it's a busy week on the charts! This has the similar George Bullock style base with hand carved feet which make it very solid and sturdy. Again patina to the wood is luxurious. I imagine a chunky set of Chippendale chairs around this work of art.
