We've had an influx of gorgeous Regency dining tables and we'd like to highlight some of our favourites below. These tables are great as true to the Regency ethos the design is clean and minimal, making them great for contemporary interiors. In my opinion they are more refined than some of Victorian dining tables which have a chunkier look and feel. It depends on the room and tastes as both work equally well in their contexts. Of course being Canonbury Antiques, we are antique dining furniture specialists so we can find the perfect table and chair combination - we have various dining chairs to match in various styles including Chippendale, William IV, Trafalgar, Regency, Victorian Balloon back and Hepplewhite chairs. Hence we can find the perfect combination to meet your taste and requirements in different woods, mainly mahogany and walnut.
( Walnut Dining Set Regency Table & Queen Anne Chairs)
Traditionally the classic Regency dining table works of a pedestal system with two to three pedestals with leaves in between so you can adjust the size of the table to suit your dining requirements. A bigger table with all leaves added for dinner parties and family gatherings and maybe a smaller configuration for more intimate get togethers. We even supply some of our larger tables - 16 feet and upwards - to boardrooms and for executive set ups as they are great for holding meetings around. We can also custom make tables to any size, we've even made bigger tables for London Embassies.
Many of these Regency pedestal dining tables are on view in our Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom so please get in touch for an appointment. Nothing beats sitting around these tables and chairs to try them out for comfort and style. They're such a good investment as they are built in England to centuries old traditions and will last for many lifetimes as they increase in value and beauty. Of course, for our customers in far flung corners of the globe we can ship anywhere so please get in touch for a shipping quote. Also if you are looking for a complete dining suite we can also match the tables and chairs with bookcases, sideboards and other matching antique furniture.
